POLICE ARE SEARCHING FOR A MAN WHO TRIED TO KIDNAP A 12-YEAR-OLD BOY. A 12-YEAR-OLD BOY WAITING FOR HIS MOM WHEN HE WAS COMFORTED BY A MAN. SUSPECT ALLEGEDLY TOLD THE BOY HIS MOTHER INSTRUCTED HIM TO PICK UP THE 12-YEAR-OLD BOY AT SCHOOL. THE BOY WANTED TO CALL HIS MOM. SHE SAID MOM HE WAS CREEPY LOOKING. HE SAID I AM. THE MAN SPED AWAY AFTER THE 12-YEAR-OLD RAN OFF. THERE IS A REWARD FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO AN. Police are searching for a man who tried to abduct a 12-year-old boy while he was waiting for his mother after school last Friday in Homestead. The incident happened at Miami Arts Academy at 3000 SE 9th St. Police said the man, who is believed to be a white male between the ages of 45 to 55, lowered his passenger side window and told the boy, "Hey kid. Your mom wants me to come pick you up. ". Police said the boy told the driver that he was going to call his mother first to check, and said the driver quickly sped off. The victim called his mother as he walked back to the school and notified school administration about the incident. "He's like, 'Mommy, he's really creepy looking,' and you know, he was trying to describe him, and I just cut him off and said, 'Logan, go get help right now. '" And he said, 'I am, I am,'" the boy's mother told Local 10 News. Police said the man was described as being heavy set, with medium to long gray hair. Source: www.local10.com

Pronger led the league in plus-minus twice, and was a plus-52 in 1999-2000, the year he won the Hart Trophy as MVP, the Norris Trophy as the top defenseman, and the Blues won the Presidents' Trophy for having the best record in the league. He joined Brett Hull as the only Blues to win the MVP award and Al MacInnis as the only Blue to win the Norris. He was chosen to the All-Star Game four times while with the Blues (five times overall) and played for Canada in the Olympics four times, winning a gold medal twice, in 2002 and 2010. Charleston Battery, MUSC agree to naming rights for stadium - Charleston Post Courier

When construction was completed in 1999, the Charleston Battery became the first professional soccer club in North America to play in its own privately financed soccer-specific facility. Over the next 15 years, Blackbaud Stadium hosted events from around the world, including both the U. S. men’s and women’s national teams and clubs from the English Premier League. The stadium will be getting a mild facelift this weekend, as the Charleston Battery and MUSC on Thursday reached a five-year deal for the naming rights. It’s officially MUSC Health Stadium beginning Saturday when the Battery faces FC Montreal in a USL match. MUSC Health has been providing onsite sports medicine services for the club’s players since 2008. MUSC Health will continue as the club’s sole sports medicine provider. “We are absolutely thrilled to expand our partnership with MUSC Health and their sports medicine team,” said Charleston Battery president Andrew Bell. The 5,100-seat facility opened in 1999 and during the first 15 years of its existence the stadium’s naming rights were owned by Blackbaud Inc. Bakker moved Blackbaud’s headquarters from New York City to Mount Pleasant in 1989.
