Davison board signs off on fire district plan - Daily Republic

The Davison County Commission voted 4-0 to approve the boundaries of proposed fire district—which would include Beulah, Lisbon and Prosper townships and be named the "Mitchell Fire Protection District. State law requires an election to be held within 60 days of the boundaries being approved and the commissioners set July 28 as the election date, with voting taking place from 4 p. m. to 8 p. m. at the Davison County Fairgrounds. If the district is approved on July 28, the new district will form immediately and five members of the Board of Directors will be appointed that evening.
