For early cars that are converted we include this note that non-motronic cars can and will break the tensioner if perfect timing is not maintained. No warranty for such abuse and claims for a broken tensioner.

Caveat Emptor of other vendors claiming part applications Ours are OEM for V-6 engines .
The V-6 design is a close tolerance engine and using this tensioner design requires considerably higher skill sets for installation. We have been selling NEW Alfa Romeo parts for more than 40 years .
Images posted offer approximate placement of parts employed for the task. The LAST image is of the hydraulic de-tensioner of the original design and location. Not every 164 out there is converted.
We recommend do not convert to mechanical if your engine is still HYDRAULIC instead contact us for the hydraulic version plus Belt and all seals. Please contact use before purchasing.
