Police looking for hit-and-run driver who caused chain-reaction crash - WTAE Pittsburgh

Investigators at the Kiski Valley barracks said the wreck happened July 24 around 6:30 p. m. as the driver of a 2001 Nissan Sentra was stopped on Route 66, attempting a left-hand turn into Naser's Market. Surveillance video from the store's system shows a white 2000 to 2005 Chevrolet Impala hit into a silver 2003 Impala, which then crashed into the Sentra. Ken Hinkle, of New Derry, was driving the Sentra. Immediately after the wreck, the video showed the driver of the white car getting out and approaching the driver of the middle vehicle. "(He) went up to the vehicle directly in front of him, spoke to the driver, asked her if she was OK. She said she wasn't, not that she was injured, just shaken up because she was obviously just in a collision. Troopers want to find the man who caused the crash so he can be charged and so his insurance can cover the damage to the other vehicles, Arner said. "It's upsetting, but I'll tell you what's really upsetting are the insurance companies, what you have to go through," Hinkle said. Police describe the driver as a tall, thin white man in his 20s. He has short, dark hair and was seen wearing jeans, black shoes and a black T-shirt with white graphics on it. His vehicle was a white 2000-2005 model Chevrolet Impala with a sunroof...
