ELIZABETHVILLE — A man was charged Wednesday in connection with thefts that occurred between 2 and 4 a. m. April 10 in Berrysburg and Elizabethville, Dauphin County. State police said this week that Timothy Marlin Watts Jr. entered the Berrysburg home of a 77-year-old woman through an unlocked glass door and stole a purse and its contents. Watts then fled the area and attempted another burglary in Elizabethville, but the homeowner was able to intervene before Watts entered the home. Watts then used the Berrysburg woman’s debit card in an attempt to remove cash from ATM machines in Williamstown and Tower City, police said. Watts was taken into custody Wednesday, arraigned on charges of burglary, attempted burglary and access device fraud and committed to Dauphin County Prison unable to post $25,000 bail. ORWIGSBURG — No injuries were reported in a three-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:55 p. m. Monday on Route 61, just south of Route 443 in North Manheim Township. State police at Schuylkill Haven said Timothy J. Colna, 44, of Port Carbon, was driving a 2003 Hyundai Accent north in the left lane when he applied his brakes and swerved to avoid hitting a 2001 Ford F-150 in front of him driven by Ashley M.... Police said Colna was unable to avoid hitting the Justen truck and then went into the right lane and was struck by a 2006 Ford Expedition driven by Sandra P. Ramirez-Perez, 26, of Lost Creek.
