“Before it was Montana Fun Weekend, it was the Triangle Car Club Car Show and it was held in the Cut Bank City Park. These three organized a great classic car show, which was held in conjunction with an all 1960’s class reunion event. And in their debut car show, they had almost 50 cars lined up in the park and hundreds of people showed up to see what would soon become an annual event. The next year, in 1987, the guys moved the show to the Cut Bank Town Field and had over 100 cars lined up on the football field. For over a decade, the Triangle Car Club Car Show stayed in town at the football field and held their show during the Lewis and Clark Festival weekend, drawing even more cars and crowds to view the classic cars making up the show. Then, in 2002, the car show was moved out to the Cut Bank International Airport, was given a new name, had additional events added and became a weekend of “fun” called Montana Fun Weekend. For the past dozen years, Montana Fun Weekend has been dubbed a great weekend of entertainment for the whole family, a wonderful car show and another fun event for the people of Cut Bank and its surrounding areas to enjoy. He added, “One year, I had three high school kids tell me their most memorable summer event in Cut Bank was the Montana Fun Weekend. Source: www.cutbankpioneerpress.com
