<?xml:namespace prefix="o" />The clutch alignment tool is a critical component during the replacement installation of a manual clutch transmission. It reproduces the input shaft of the transmission and keeps the clutch disc perfectly aligned to the pilot bearing or bushing on the flywheel while the clutch cover is installed and torqued down. This results in easy alignment with the input shaft of the manual transmission. An input shaft of a manual transmission is what connects the clutch disc to the rotating assembly of the engine; therefore, the clutch disc must be aligned in order to have the input shaft splines mate correctly. The clutch alignment tool is removed before installing the transmission.
Our alignment tools are replicas of the input shaft and will align the clutch disc so that it does not slip out of alignment when bolting down the clutch cover.
