ASHLEY/CARDWELL COUSINS: June 14, Descendants of Jobe Thomas Ashley and Loretta Caroline “Retti” Welch Ashley. and, Laura Ann Ashley Parsons Cardwell and Frank Miles Cardwell will gather at Stony Hill Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, 506 Summit Road, Purlear, NC in the Parsonsville Community for their annual reunion. All descendants of John Henry Cardwell and Thomas M. Ashley who were Civil War veterans and fought in Company K, 53rd North Carolina Infantry Regiment, are invited to attend.
