Mercedes may end Tesla supply agreement for B-Class Electric Drive - Autoblog (blog)
Yet again @purrpullberra is at a loss for words to describe his passionate love for Elon and Tesla, but again all misguided by the rose coloured glasses. The underhanded comment about what MB learnt from Tesla regarding batteries, remember Tesla "acquired" that technology, it is not their invention. And about that singular focus on 0. 4% of the market, that's a bit of a problem when oil is at $40 a barrel and no one really wants EVs other than the car companies, so they can meet Fleet Emission Standards. And lastly, the advantage that MB and every other car company has, is they know how to mass produce quality fit and finish cars, from $20,000 to $100,000, something Tesla has not managed to achieve yet. Yet you astro-turf Tesla threads to bash an American performance car company. I guess the thousands of happy customers and Consumer Reports customer satisfaction are irrelevant to your opinion of the fit and finish of the cars. It's almost over for the anti-Tesla crowd, they don't realize that Tesla Motors owns all of the patents to make their vehicles and that other car companies have to pay Tesla Motors for the non-EV patents they use that Tesla Motors owns. I need your opinion regarding the influence of the oil price in the leasing of green cars. Source: www.autoblog.com
