In July 2008, BMW recalled 200,000 model year 2004-2006 X3, 3 and 5 Series models, with an additional 120,000 model year 2004-2006 X5, Z4, 3, 5, 6 and 7 Series receiving a 10 year/unlimited mileage extended warranty.
