Malik Clark, 18, of Lansing, faces three counts of criminal recklessness, leaving the scene of an accident with serious bodily injury and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident with bodily injury. Vert, his nephew and his fiancee were treated at Community Hospital in Munster for injuries ranging from road rash to a head injury. The driver left the scene, but a piece of the vehicle's bumper was left behind, according to the affidavit. Munster officers traced the bumper to a Mitsubishi Endeavor. Officers had received a complaint earlier that day of a similar car driving at high rate of speed on Manor Avenue, and the vehicle was later traced to Clark's home, according to the affidavit.
