High-speed chase from Arcata to Eureka - Eureka Times Standard

On 08/04/15 at about 1:19 p. m. , the Eureka Police Department Communications Center was notified that Arcata Police Officers were in pursuit of a stolen yellow Nissan Xterra and were entering Eureka. Arcata Police discontinued the pursuit in Eureka due to heavy traffic. Eureka Police Officers picked up the pursuit near 4th and G Streets but discontinued near Commercial Street for safety reasons. The pursuit was picked up again near 5th and R Streets and eventually ended near the 1900 block of Hill Street. It was determined that the Nissan Xterra had been stolen out of Eureka sometime last night and had stolen plates from a Nissan Xterra out of Arcata.
