Police: Woman killed in hit-and-run in Essex - WBAL Baltimore

Police said the incident happened around 5:30 a. m. Monday at the intersection of Eastern Boulevard and Virginia Avenue. The woman, identified as Lisa Renee Strine, 44, was in the roadway on the westbound side of Eastern Boulevard when she was struck by the car, police said. Police said traffic on westbound Eastern Boulevard was down to one lane at Virginia Avenue for a short time, but the road was fully reopened by 9:30 a. m. Police said the vehicle suspected of being involved in the incident is a white Nissan Murano... The vehicle was found unoccupied in Baltimore City, police said. Someone who saw a news report looked out their window and saw a white Nissan Murano police think was involved in the fatal hit-and-run, police said. "Sad, it's sad people getting hit by cars and taken off," Morris said. Some said vehicles go by at a normal pace, maybe 5 to 10 mph over the posted 30 mph speed limit. "The cops would be out here anyhow if you're over the speed limit as far as speeding," Essex resident Nolan Duke said.
