Two arrested after first evading officers - The San Diego Union-Tribune

A driver and his passenger were arrested early Saturday after the motorist rammed Coronado police cars while trying to drive onto the island’s naval base, authorities said. Shortly before 5 a. m. , Coronado police spotted the car, a gray 1994 Nissan Sentra, going 81 mph in a 50 mph zone, the department said. As Coronado police officers approached the car, the driver again rammed it into patrol cars, authorities said. Officers were able to arrest the 18-year-old driver, a Tijuana resident, on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, evading police and resisting arrest.
