Police: Woman going 81 mph before fatal crash - KLAS-TV

A woman who walked away from a deadly car crash on August 10 now faces charges for that crash. Police arrested Angela Bashay for reckless driving involving death. Christine Robinson, 39, died in the crash after police say Bashay’s Honda Pilot rear-ended Robinson’s Nissan Altima. Bashay talked with 8 News NOW immediately after the crash occurred near McCarran International Airport. "I don't really think that the impact of this has hit me yet, but I'm going to give my daughters a big hug when I get home,” she said. Police arrested Bashay Wednesday. They say she was driving at least 81 miles-per-hour and caused the deadly five-car crash. “I know there was a big white truck, and there was a white car,” she said. “I don't know which of the two of those was the first to strike my car, but my car was struck in the front and flipped and landed on the roof and spun, skidded down the road for several hundred feet. It's another thing to do wrong and lie about it,” Bashay’s father Kim McMurray said at the time. Bashay has a history of speeding. She received a speeding ticket in 2011. On her Facebook page in July, Bashay responded to a friend who bragged about driving fast. Police say one other driver in that crash received minor injuries. Source: www.lasvegasnow.com
