2016 Nissan Maxima Debuts in New York, Priced at $33235 - Automobile

The redesigned, eighth-generation 2016 Nissan Maxima packs a polarizing new design, a more upscale interior, and new technology features as it attempts to further differentiate itself from the popular Altima family sedan. Revealed previously during a Super Bowl commercial, the new Maxima makes its official debut at the 2015 New York auto show, where Nissan provided plenty more information on the premium sedan’s pricing and specifications. We’ve had quite a bit of time already to digest the 2016 Nissan Maxima’s new look, as it was closely previewed by the Nissan Sport Sedan concept shown at the 2013 Detroit show and revealed in a Super Bowl commercial earlier this year. The sedan’s swoopy lines start around the sculpted Nissan V-motion grille and carry through the profile with its multiple character lines and creases. The new Maxima is 2. 2 inches longer than its predecessor, which makes it 1. 3 inches longer than the Altima sedan. The ubiquitous Nissan 3. 5-liter V-6 is the sole engine choice for the 2016 Nissan Maxima, gaining 10 hp for a total of 300 hp, while torque is unchanged at 261 lb-ft. Source: www.automobilemag.com
