The move was quietly confirmed by a recent announcement detailing Nissan's 2016 lineup, which omits the decade-old SUV. "Xterra, one of the boldly designed vehicles that helped reinvigorate the Nissan brand at the beginning of the century, will go out of production after a highly successful 15-year run," the company notes. Xterra sales experienced a slight revival in July with sales up by 11. 5 percent compared to the same month last year, however collective deliveries in the first seven months of the year fell by more than 25 percent.
