PROVIDENCE, R. I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island State Police announced that two Providence men were arrested Thursday after police seized oxycodone pills, marijuana, and a combined 507 grams of heroin in separate investigations. While questioning Medrano, troopers “observed several indicators that Mr. Medrano was possibly involved in the transportation of narcotics,” police said. The troopers searched Medrano’s vehicle and seized approximately 400 grams of heroin and 796 oxycodone pills, which were 30 milligrams each. State Police estimated the street value of the pills and heroin to be approximately $44,000.
