Rolls-Royce rolls out the one-off, classic yacht-inspired Phantom Nautica Edition - Digital Trends

Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division is rolling out another one-off version of the Phantom, one of the most luxurious cars money can buy. Christened Nautica Edition, the customer-commissioned limousine was designed as a homage to the classic yachts that were owned by yesterday’s elite. Visually, the Nautica Edition immediately stands out from a stock short-wheelbase Phantom thanks to an eye-catching two-tone Orchid White and Arabian Blue paint job and alloy wheels fitted with blue center caps. Finally, the Nautica Edition gets a custom-designed, vintage-looking compass that’s neatly tucked away in a drawer built into the dash. The Nautica doesn’t benefit from any mechanical modifications, meaning it’s powered by a stock Phantom-sourced naturally-aspirated 6. 75-liter V12 engine that makes 453 horsepower at at 5,350 rpm and 531 feet-pounds of torque at 3,500 rpm. Bolted to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the 12-cylinder sends the Phantom from zero to 60 mph in less than six seconds, an impressive statistic for a behemoth that tips the scale at 5,800 pounds. Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division hasn’t revealed who the one-off Nautica Edition was ordered by and how much of a premium it carries over a standard Phantom. Source: www.digitaltrends.com
