7 Cars That Have Gone 1 Million Miles - The Cheat Sheet

A while back, I remember reading something in Popular Mechanics about cars that have made it to a million miles, and I could not help but laugh at the notion. In today’s modern age, most consumers opt to trade up before a car even begins to crest the 100,000-mile mark, and anything over 200,000 miles is considered a freak of engineering since it has not spontaneously combusted or rusted. My project car, a 1991 Honda Accord with 278,462 miles on it, continues to run strong, and even though my wife hates it, I refuse to let go of it. Hell, this little crapper still gets about 35 miles per gallon on the highway and is just as... But even though I love it so, I cannot begin to imagine putting another 750,000 miles on the car just to hit the million-mile mark. Well, from what we can tell, there is a pretty wide range of reasons why people drive one particular car to such extremes, and manufacturers have an equally wide range of rewards for these die-hard drivers. What surprises most people is that a lot of these cars are not complete pieces of crap after all those miles, with some of them looking like museum-ready classic cars instead of cross-country beaters. But we cannot lose sight of the fact that all the cars on this list are just a handful of vehicles that have climbed into the Million-Mile Club, and that there are quite a few others that have achieved the same feat.
