Car owner shot in shoulder by carjacker - New Straits Times Online

During the 9pm incident, the 28-year-old victim was heading to his Toyota Hilux to collect his Astro card when he was shot at by an assailant who was trying to steal his car. Kuala Terengganu police chief ACP Idris Abd Rafar said when the victim was approaching his vehicle that was parked about 50m from his family-owned electrical shop, the assailant who realised the owner was heading to the car, fired two shots at him. “We have not ruled out the possibility that the assailant or assailants were trying to steal the vehicle but shocked to find the owner approaching the car. The owner was asked by his father to collect the Astro card from the car,” he told reporters at the scene. Police believe there were more than one person involved as the suspects managed to escape in a white Toyota Wish. Source: www.nst.com.my
