DETROIT, MI - Toyota has released pricing of the all-new, 2016 Tacoma midsize pickup, which was first unveiled last January in Detroit. The manufacturer's suggested retail price will start at $23,300 for the base, 2016 Tacoma 4x2 SR Access Cab with a 2. 7-liter, 4-cylinder engine. The starting MSRP for the 2016 Tacoma 4x4 is $24,825 for the SR 4-cylinder with a five-speed manual transmission, and it goes up to $37,820 for the V6 Limited with a six-speed automatic. Prices don't include a delivery, processing and handling fee of $900. The 2016 Tacoma was developed and engineered at the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor and designed in Ann Arbor and in Newport Beach, Calif. The mid-size truck is being built at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas in San Antonio and at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Baja California in Baja California, Mexico. The new Tacoma, getting its first redesign in 10 years, arrives in an increasingly competitive midsize pickups segment, in which General Motors' 2015 Chevrolet Colorado is returning after a two-year hiatus.
