2015 Detroit Auto Show: 2016 Nissan Titan goes hunting for Chevrolet, Ford and Ram Nissan wants a bigger slice of the full-size pickup truck market, and the proof can be seen here at the 2015 North American International Auto Show held in Detroit. The new Nissan Titan, which goes on sale late this year, has a bold new look, vastly updated cabin, and a mighty Cummins V-8 diesel engine as an option. The new Titan, shown for the first time here at the Detroit Auto Show, proves Nissan wasn’t in a quitting mood. From the bold in-your-face grille and headlights, to a cabin that is miles better than the low-rent interior of the previous model, the new Titan represents a giant step towards making Nissan a real player in the truck market. The powertrains include the typical V-6 and V-8 offerings, but Nissan U. S. A. is most eager to make noise about the optional Cummins-built, 5. 0-liter heavy-duty diesel available in the Titan XD (the heavier duty model).
