cubist movement: Nissan cube is not the techiest car, but it was the right car ... - TechnologyTell

var tt_sections =... /* ]]> */ Compared to many of the tech-heavy cars I get to drive here as part of my job at Car Tech Tell , the humble Nissan cube is not a tech-head’s dream. After our 2004 Sentra was paid off, we saved up and bought a house in 2010 in preparation for starting a family. Once we got settled into our modest three-bedroom home, we decided we should probably think about trading the Sentra for something with better interior space. On my wife’s wish list was something boxy, probably a hatchback, with good line-of-sight visibility from the driver’s seat. The second-gen Ford Escape was at the top of her list, and she liked the second-gen Chevy Equinox that had just underwent its redesign at that time. However, the Nissan cube — Nissan insists the model name is not capitalized — was a dark horse candidate. I loved its interior packaging. It blew my mind how a car that had a smaller footprint than our Sentra was in fact more roomy and comfortable inside. Source: www.technologytell.com
