This kit provides power connection for a front mounted winch. We often use this extension and quick disconnect set when installing any brand winch on Jeep TJ, JK, or JL model. Due to battery location in these Jeeps, the wiring included with your winch likely won't reach the battery, especially if you safely and discretely route the wires. This kit will give you more than enough wire to reach the battery, plus includes a disconnect for added safety.
We always suggest leaving the winch unplugged until you hit the trails. Winch cables are large enough to easily cause a fire if one should chafe and ground out. This disconnect is an excellent and safe option to prevent fires.
