Isuzu D-Max GT launched in the UAE - AutoMiddleEast.com (press release)

Pickup trucks have been increasing in popularity across the U. A. E. and while reasons are aplenty, there remains a clear distinction between lifestyle pickups such as the GMC Sierra and commercial pickups such as the Toyota Hilux. However, Isuzu isn’t happy with the segregation and plan to blur the distinction with their D-Max GT – a commercial pickup that has been spruced up for the personal buyer. Now available in eight countries across the Middle East, the D-Max GT is targeted at the younger generation, and aims to alter the perception of the brand from one that builds durable workhorses, to one that manufactures sporty and stylish pick ups. On the outside, Isuzu has tricked the D-Max GT out with dark gray alloy wheels. Following in the footsteps of its commercial sibling, the D-Max, the cabin of the GT variant isn’t vastly different. Red and black cloth seats, red stitching on the steering wheel and a bright red badge on the horn pad is about all that stands out from the overabundance of hard plastics. Utilizing its superior know-how in the production of diesel engines, Isuzu has opted to fit the same 3. 0 litre diesel engine from the D-Max into the GT variant. Source: automiddleeast.com
