AeroMobil's flying car is two years away, report says - SFGate (blog)

It’s a car, it’s a plane, it’s the latest prototype from Slovakian company AeroMobil. The vehicle can drive in road traffic like a regular car, fit into a (large) parking space and take off and land using a grass strip or paved surface, according to AeroMobil’s website. Dubbed the AeroMobil 3. 0, the current prototype has been flight testing in real flight conditions since October 2014. Its wings are collapsible for road driving. The AeroMobil 3. 0 has a top land speed of 99 mph and top air speed of 124 mph. AeroMobil 3. 0 uses regular gasoline and has a 435-mile air range. The car “opens doors to real door-to-door travel,” according to AeroMobil’s website. Despite its name, AeroMobil 3. 0 is the company’s fourth flying car prototype. AeroMobil 2. 0 resembles a blend between a shark and a sports car. AeroMobil 2. 5, developed from 2010 to 2013, looks like the company’s latest prototype. A video on AeroMobil’s website demonstrates the AeroMobil 3. 0 in action. Source: blog.sfgate.com
