Carjacking suspects lead police on chase with teens in the car - KRQE News 13

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police say one suspect is in custody after they stole a car with two teens inside. At about 8:15 p. m. on Saturday, officers say someone in a stolen vehicle fled from police after a traffic stop. Police say they did not chase the vehicle at this point, but approached the vehicle when it crashed shortly after. Officials say the man then carjacked a Ford F-250 and drove off with two males ages 16 and 18. Officers say the suspects hit three police units before letting the kids out of the vehicle. The suspects were driving erratically down Central and eventually stopped near Central and Carlisle. Authorities say this is when the driver tried to flee on foot and police were able to take him and another into custody. Police say one man is now in custody and undergoing questioning.
