Jason Darryl Kane, 24, fell out of the bed of a pickup truck early July 6 after he and three other soldiers were hog hunting on private property off Maxdale Road, according to a release from the Bell County Sheriff’s Department. When they left the property, two men were riding in the truck’s cab and the other two were riding in back. When they arrived at the gate of the property, the two men riding in front noticed the other two were no longer in the back of the truck. Kane was dead on arrival, the sheriff’s department said.
