Council members say heat in City Auditorium is a problem - West Central Tribune

Council member Ron Christianson asked during this week’s council meeting why air conditioning was not included when new air handling units were installed as part of the auditorium lead remediation and renovation project. Christianson said he’s received calls from people who use the basement shooting range and from the noon basketball players saying “it’s just horrendous in there on these not so cool days,’’ and he asked if air conditioning or a form of air... Right now the range is not used during the summer and has not been used in the summer in the last bunch of years, he said. The policy clearly defines how someone will request keyed access to the auditorium, and it sets policies and rules for persons using the auditorium. to provide top dressing, seed and fertilizer at Westwind Park for development of a soccer field in 2016. City staff said the park has been unused since the Westwind housing development was created. Given the shortage of youth soccer field areas, staff believes this park is ideal to create some youth practice fields.
