Ford recalling F-250/350 steering gears - Fleet Owner
is recalling some 538 service replacement steering gears that may have been installed on 2008 through 2010 model F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks equipped with 6. 4-liter diesel engines. The OEM said the problem is that the replacement steering gear mounting flange does not rest flush against the vehicle frame, which may result in steering gear bolt fatigue. The OEM added that Ford dealers will replace the bolts and install spacers between the steering gear and the vehicle frame at no cost to customers. Source: fleetowner.com
