Early Voting For Greeneville's Municipal Election Begins Today - Greeneville Sun

During the early voting period, ballots may be cast at the Greene County Election Commission Office, at 218 N. Main Street, during regular office hours of 8:30 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. , Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 8:30 a. m. until noon. There will be only one contested race on the ballot: an at-large seat on the Greeneville Water Commission. Waggoner has served three consecutive six-year terms on the Greeneville Water Commission since first being elected in 1997. Earl retired as superintendent of the Greeneville Water Department in 2008 after nearly 21 years with the utility. Buddy Hawk and Keith Paxton are un-opposed in their bids for re-election to the two 1st Ward seats on the Greeneville Board of Mayor and Aldermen. Cook and Craig Ogle are un-opposed for two 1st Ward seats on the Greeneville City Board of Education. Ogle is the current chairman of the city school board, and has held a 1st Ward seat since 1999.
