Work truck smashes into pickup in east Greeley - Greeley Tribune

A one-ton work truck plowed into the back of another pickup Monday, crunching its entire truck bed and sending its occupants to the hospital. The crash happened at 6:50 p. m. , according to a Greeley Fire Department news release, in the road construction zone on East 8th Street near Weld County Road 47, about one mile east of the Greeley/Weld County Airport. A white Ford F150 pickup, with two occupants, was parked at a red light that was controlling traffic through the construction zone, the release stated. A one-ton work truck, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck the pickup from behind, pushing it about 100 yards, the release stated. The one-ton truck veered off the road and traveled roughly 100 yards into an open field, the release stated. The driver of that truck was not injured. Source: www.greeleytribune.com
