Police: Man drives truck into funeral home - Chippewa Herald
Bloomer Police said Joshua A. Miller didn’t want to stop when a police squad car began pursuing him early Tuesday morning. After failing to negotiate a left turn onto Riggs Street, police said the 23-year-old Miller did finally stop, when the 1995 Ford F-250 pickup truck he was driving went into the Schriver-Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1806 17th Ave. “It’s quite a bit of damage (to the building),” Bloomer Police Chief Jared Zwiefelhofer said. Miller, a Bloomer resident, was cited for OWI first offense in the crash at 2:10 a. m. Zwiefelhofer said more charges against Miller are possible. A female from Bloomer was a passenger in the vehicle and was not charged, Zwiefelhofer said. Source: chippewa.com
