Family traveling through KC has truck, trailer stolen - KMBC Kansas City

Rachel Soale said the family parked the truck and trailer in the hotel parking lot near the Truman Sports Complex, only to find it no longer there when they woke up. “Everything down to our socks, gone,” she said. The family was moving from West Virginia to Phoenix and stopped at the Adam’s Mark Hotel across the highway from Kauffman Stadium about 11 p. m. Wednesday. “We literally have nothing but the house we are moving to in Arizona now,” Soale said. The trailer had been packed with everything the family needed to start a new life out west, including family heirlooms and tools her husband uses to work on commercial airplanes. “I’m more upset over the baby pictures and my husband’s tools that he has to have for his job,” Soale said. “If somebody needs the furniture that bad that they had to go and steal it, they obviously needed it more than I did, but they don’t need my pictures. With nothing left, Soale needed a ride back to the hotel, where her family was waiting and wondering how they’ll move forward. The truck is a 2006 Ford F-350 with West Virginia plate 7VL295. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477. HELP.
