Woman reports paving 'scam' to sheriff's office - WMC Action News 5

Wanting to make sure no one else is victimized, a Jonesboro woman told sheriff's deputies a traveling paving company duped her dad out of $2,000. On Wednesday a man stopped at a home on Craighead County Road 762 and asked the woman's 68-year-old... When the elderly man agreed, the woman said the suspect then began talking about how much the job would cost, according to a sheriff's office incident report. When she came home and “saw the mess in the driveway,” the woman called the suspect and demanded a refund. The suspect was described as a balding, tanned white male in his late 30s to early 40s. He was driving a white Ford F250 pickup truck with “Platinum Paving” decal stickers on the glass. The woman told the sheriff's office “she wanted to report the incident to make others aware of the scam,” the report stated. Source: www.wmcactionnews5.com
