FCA to recall 1060531 Ram trucks - just-auto.com (registration)
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, hit at the weekend with a record recall-related fine , is recalling Ram trucks because an airbag could inflate unexpectedly. The affected vehicles are 2012-2014 1500, 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500 trucks made between 18 January 2011 and 7 October 2014 and equipped with the electronic vehicle information centre option. These models have a steering wheel wiring harness that may rub against the driver air bag module retainer spring causing an electrical short that could cause the driver's front air bag to unexpectedly deploy.
