Reports: Man in Bellevue crashing, carjacking spree screamed he is Jesus - seattlepi.com

Motorists were sitting in traffic headed north on the road when the driver of a red Dodge Intrepid began honking his horn and yelling, reports say. The driver reportedly yelled, "I am the messiah" and "get out of my way" before accelerating, smoking his tires and hitting seven cars. After his car was put out of commission, the driver left his car and "screamed that he is Jesus," police accounts say. He ran over to a Dodge Ram and tried to pull a 25-year-old male driver out of the vehicle, but the driver was restrained by his seat belt and could not be extracted, reports indicate. The man then approached a Toyota Yaris and tried to pull a 40-year-old male from the car, saying, "I gotta go, I gotta get outta here. " The driver resisted, resulting in his dress shirt being torn, so the 32-year-old man reportedly sat on the driver and said, "you are coming with me," records say. The 40-year-old driver tossed his keys to a bystander to prevent the attempted carjacker from driving off in his car. The 32-year-old proceeded to a Honda Accord driven by a 22-year-old man and opened the driver side door, saying he needed to take his car so he could get away, probable cause reports indicate.
