Victims identified in fatal Rutherford County crash - The Tennessean
Ashley Johnson, 27, of Murfreesboro and Igor Tavakalov, 50, of Nashville, died following the Wednesday afternoon wreck near mile marker 61 in Murfreesboro. A third person, identified as 32-year-old Pavel Tolstov of Nashville, was injured, Trooper Travis Plotzer said Thursday. According to a preliminary investigation, Johnson was heading eastbound in a 2002 Acura RSX about 2:45 p. m. when she ran off the road and over corrected the car. Her Acura traveled across the median and hit a 2012 Nissan Maxima driven by Tavakalov. Johnson was ejected from the Acura and struck by a third vehicle — a 1997 Ford Ranger. The driver of that truck, 45-year-old Columbia resident Daniel J. Hayward, was not injured. Source: www.tennessean.com
