2015 Audi Q7 first drive review - Drive

BMW released its new X5 in late 2013, Range Rover introduced the new Sport in 2014, Volvo has just released its long-awaited all-new XC90 and Mercedes-Benz will unleash the new GLE-Class at the end of 2015. And Audi is ready to take on all-comers... The introduction of the expanded range has meant a long wait for the new model but the Audi boffins haven't sat idle with the new Q7 boasting the company's latest and greatest technology (for an additional price, more later). Although not officially on sale until September, Audi has already started heavily promoting the Q7, including our early test drive of the new model from Melbourne to Adelaide. The engine's job is made easier by Audi's ability to cut 240kg of weight out of this new Q7 compared to the old model, so the new car tips the scales at 2135kg.
