Law & Order: Fugitive captured, held in Duval jail - Florida Times-Union

A 37-year-old man sought in a Wednesday house fire in Gainesville and the death of a 75-year-old man found inside has been arrested in Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. An autopsy for Thomas David Oakland showed evidence of blunt force trauma to his body and head after fire-rescue crews located his body in his burning Eighth Drive home, according to the Gainesville Police Department. Police classified the case as a homicide and sought Underwood and his wife, Sherry Chris Sidell Underwood, 48, is still wanted for questioning. Fire investigators are still determining the cause of the fire. A 40-year-old Jacksonville woman pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiracy to defraud the United States and one count of aggravated identity theft, according to the U. S. Attorney’s Office. Laura Butler faces a maximum penalty of seven years in federal prison, federal prosecutors said. Butler worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida in 2011 and had access to subscribers’ personal information. She accessed several subscribers’ identities and used them to complete false and fraudulent federal income tax returns, prosecutors said. Daniels, 32, was arrested in March 2012 trying to cash a U.
