OUR VIEW: Thanks for summery Saturday - Wicked Local Plymouth

The informal response we’ve been hearing is that the Waterfront Festival the Plymouth Area Chamber of Commerce put on last Saturday on Plymouth Harbor was a smash. We cruised the festival all day among the hundreds of vendors and thousands of patrons. We gazed lovingly over the cool cars at Motor Head’s Cruise-in Car Show. We browsed and shopped the many crafters and vendors, who seemed busy continually throughout the day. We especially patronized the food vendors – from cool carni food to seafood to Thai. We admired the many dogs on leashes, and many of them admired each other. Those of us with dogs couldn’t make more than about 20 feet every five minutes but for strangers’ smiles and pets and pretty-girls and atta-good-boys. It was the Downtown Plymouth Waterfront Festival, after all, and the hope was that the day’s busy traffic would float all boats. Everyone we saw was smiling plenty on this sunny day. The Waterfront Festival spelled community in a big, fun event sort of way. We heard how fun it was, learned that others enjoyed the day every bit as much as we did. Source: plymouth.wickedlocal.com
