Wondering if the car at the museum is the same 1937 Buick Roadmaster convertible phaeton I remember being owned years ago by Bob James of Whitby, Ontario, I contacted Alan Willison of Oshawa for help. Alan owns a very rare 1937 McLaughlin-Buick Roadmaster phaeton built in Oshawa and slated for restoration. He confirmed the car at the museum was indeed owned by Bob James and gave me Bob’s phone number. Over the years, he rounded up many rare NOS (new old stock) parts to aid in its restoration, including a brand new front fender. He found a new centre section for the grille in Hershey, PA.
