Anne Arundel County police said the crash occurred shortly after 11 p. m. on Beards Point Road near Beards Creek Drive. Investigators determined a 2003 Buick Rendezvous being driven by the 16-year-old Davidsonville resident was traveling south on Beards Point Road when the vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and drifted off the right shoulder of the road. The driver then over-corrected to the left, police said, causing the vehicle to spin out of control. Nobody else was in the Rendezvous and no other vehicles were involved.
