3 men killed in separate accidents in western Montana - The Missoulian

A 47-year-old Polebridge man was killed Saturday after the ATV he was driving went off the road and struck a tree. Anderson’s 8-year-old son, who was also riding on the ATV, survived and was transported to North Valley Hospital in Whitefish with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident occurred on Red Meadow Road about five miles west of the North Fork Road, north of Polebridge. Anderson was pronounced dead at the scene, but the crash remains under investigation. Also Saturday, a 67-year-old Libby man was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Yaak River Road northwest of Troy. Jon Douglas Reynolds was pronounced dead at the scene when he was ejected from the 2004 Chevrolet pickup he was a passenger in, after it drove off the highway near mile marker 17. 5 at 5:30 p. m. Reynolds was not wearing a seatbelt. The Montana Highway Patrol, Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies, a helicopter and firefighters responded to the scene. Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe said the truck drove off the right side of the highway while traveling south and negotiating a left curve. An 82-year-old man died Thursday when the car he was driving collided with another car near Ronan. Source: missoulian.com
