A structure fire led law enforcement in McLean County to arrest a suspected methamphetamine dealer, after her husband allegedly set fire to a garage while he thought she was inside. Joshua Wirkus was charged Tuesday in South Central District Court with felony endangering by fire and misdemeanor ingestion of a controlled substance. Meagan Wirkus also was charged Tuesday, with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor possession of marijuana paraphernalia and fleeing a police officer. He also allegedly admitted to setting fire to a nearby lean-to garden shed attached to Windy Meadows Apartments, where he lived with his wife, Meagan Wirkus. A police search of the residence allegedly turned up razor blades with burn marks, snort tubes, plastic bags containing used syringes, multiple marijuana pipes with residue, a marijuana grinder with residue and rolling papers, according to the...
