Pearl Police: Carjacking suspect tried to hit officers - Jackson Clarion Ledger

Two carjacking suspects were arrested Wednesday night after fleeing Pearl police into Jackson. Joshua Temple, 23, and Robert Finch, 27, both allegedly members of the Simon City Royals gang, were arrested in connected with the alleged carjacking. Around 9:53 p. m. officers went to Baymont Inn on Riverwind Drive after receiving a report that a 2002 white Buick Century had been carjacked out of Jackson. Pearl officers found the car in the parking lot and told Temple, who was driving, to roll down the window and get out of the car. Temple drove off, nearly striking an officer and police cars. Pearl police said when they notified the Jackson Police Department when they entered their jurisdiction and requested assistance. The suspects went down Terry Road and came to a stop off of Greenwood Drive, police said. After police set up a perimeter, Temple was found hiding in a house off of Greenwood Avenue and was arrested.
