Eighteen music acts rev up to play Sucker Punch - Shreveport Times

Sucker Punch Entertainment is aiming to revolutionize the state of music festivals in Shreveport. Eighteen music acts will play over Friday and Saturday at the 6th annual Sucker Punch Rally and Music Festival at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds. "My plan is to make this as big or bigger than South by South West or Bonnaroo," Strahan said. The Sucker Punch organizer's vision is to extend the festival to four days with more than 60 music acts performing on multiple stages in buildings along Texas Avenue in downtown Shreveport. "I want the whole city of Shreveport to be a part of this," Strahan said. The two-day event kicks off Friday evening and picks back up for an all day and night affair Saturday. Strahan said Sucker Punch is for everyone. "I never want to get it labeled as a motorcycle only rally," said Strahan. Strahan said last year more cars and trucks were parked at the event than motorcycles. "Bikes is part of this event but it's not really what it's focused on," Strahan said. "We started this because we're in the motorcycle world and we love it. We all ride bikes and a lot of our friends ride bikes. Source: www.shreveporttimes.com
