Ten 2016 Cars Worth Waiting For - About - News & Issues

2016 Cadillac CTS-V. I was a big fan of the previous-gen CTS-V, not just for its insanely powerful engine and the beautiful styling of its coupe and wagon variants, but for the sheer brilliance of its chassis engineering—it was both a monster and pussycat. Now a new CTS-V is upon us, with a staggering 640 horsepower on tap. There are a bunch of new Chevy vehicles coming out this year— Camaro , Spark , Volt, and Cruze—but it’s the Malibu that ‘ll be watching. Good as other Chevrolets are—and I really do think they have gotten very good—they just can’t seem to get the Malibu right, and they need a solid home run in the bread-and-butter mid-size segment. Lexus is taking the RX in a daring new direction this year with much more aggressive styling. Lexus is taking a gamble, and it’ll be interesting to sit back and watch to see if it takes off. The Mazda MX-5 (it’ll always be a Miata to me) is one of my favorite cars, and a new one is big news. This new car deviates somewhat from the Miata’s traditional styling formula, but the basics are there: Two seats, light weight, and an emphasis on handling over power. The new Miata has a split personality: Low- and high-end models are more cushy, with the mid-level Club designed to please the sports-car purists. Source: cars.about.com
