Fayetteville volunteer receives car for her efforts - WNCN

FAYETTEVILLE, N. C. (WNCN) – Velda Brown could barely believe her eyes, a 2003 Chevrolet Blazer now hers for free. Brown said, “It just makes the next level of life easier coming from where we come from and I appreciate you thank you. Brown was previously homeless and came to the Dream Center in Fayetteville for help. Single mom and she shares her story with other women at the dream center,” said Kelly Twedell, the Dream Center director. Fayetteville’s Dream Center is a Christian-based service center. Brown said she’s committed to volunteering because she can easily relate to those less fortunate and it’s all about paying it forward. “It comes with being obedient and allowing God to put the proper People in your life to help you,” Brown said. They donated the Blazer after Thomas Speer recently started a new job and was given a work car. Source: wncn.com
